God provides
the armor to
withstand
temptation,

A
Parent's/Grandparents
Morning
Payer... |
Lord,
teach me
goodness,
discipline
and wisdom,
and help me
teach to my
children/grandchildren.
Let these
gifts keep
us from
becoming
hardened by
evil,
weakened by
laziness, or
ignorant
because of
foolishness.
Amen.

For
Parents
Parents/Grandparents
need
to
pray
for
reassurance
about
their
children,
as
well. |
Lord, be
with my
child,
enable him
to do his
best to be
ready to
accept
failure or
success.
Help me to
be
accepting,
also, keep
me from
averting
pressure on
my child to
fulfill my
dreams. Amen

Mother's
Day/Father's
Day |
It is
important
for children
to
understand
that a
parent is
not just
someone who
is their
biological
mother or
father. A
parent is
someone who
cares for a
child and
helps him or
her to grow.
To mark
these two
days, have
everyone in
the family
make a list
of all the
people in
their lives
who do
nurturing
things for
them. make
little cards
for each of
them, then
send off the
cards. If
you are not
a biological
parent,
stepparent,
or adoptive
parent,
explain to
your
children
that there
are other
less
traditional
parenting
roles. You
are still
mother or
father to
them, and
you would be
delighted to
celebrate
this special
day.
Do not let
the
materialism
of the day
take
possession
of your
celebration.
Tell the
children you
will leave a
list on the
refrigerator
of all the
things you
would like
to have done
as a gift
for mother's
Day or
Father's
Day. Keep it
simple and
not to
demanding,
so that the
children
and/or
spouse can
fix
together. Or
plan a
picnic in
the backyard
or
neighboring
park.
Include, as
part of your
grace, a
special
blessing for
father or
mother ( or
the person
who fills
that role in
your home).
"Let us
bless the
Lord. Lord
we thank you
for our
mother
(father,
stepmother,
uncle,
grandmother,
or whomever
you are
celebrating).
For all the
times...(
Here have
your child
mention
something
special that
his or her
parent
does.)
Lord, our
God, bless
our mother
(father)
with your
love. Give
her (him)
wisdom,
patience,
gratitude,
and a sense
of humor.
Help us to
be a family
that always
supports one
another in
love." Amen
Let your
steadfast
love, O Lord
be upon us
even as we
hope in you.
( Psalm
33:22)
In you O
Lord, I take
refuge, do
not let me
put to
shame. In
your justice
deliver me,
incline your
ear to me.
Hurry and
rescue me. (
Psalm
31:1-2)
Set a guard
over my
mouth, O
Lord; keep
watch over
the door of
my lips. (
Psalm 141:3)
Give
thanks to
the Lord who
is good;
God's love
is
everlasting.
( Psalm
126:1)
